Help Me Grow - Telecommunication Program

Aided in the development of the novel Telehealth identification and support platform for children under the age of 6 with developmental or behavioral concerns.

The Help Me Grow program, utilized the resources of the Contra Costa Crisis Center Telehealth communication strategy to identify and support children under the age of 6 years old with developmental or behavioral concerns.

The Contra Costa Crisis Center, which provided phone and chat services to the national and local crisis line and chat system, the national veterans crisis line, and the local 211 health and human services line.

I began by immersing myself in the communication model used by the Contra Costa Crisis Center to support the community. I underwent comprehensive training to provide assistance across all Crisis Center support lines. Subsequently, I collaborated with community health agencies to establish partnerships and determine appropriate service channels, including collaborating with First 5 Contra Costa. My work also involved researching culturally sensitive practices and developing remote screening intake materials tailored for phone communication.

To enhance support delivery, I crafted new scripts and streamlined processes for triaging individuals contacting the Contra Costa Crisis Center's phone lines. This involved implementing warm hand-offs to ensure individuals received appropriate support and access to necessary resources.

Furthermore, I designed and implemented a novel user interface for the project database. This interface facilitates efficient data collection and ongoing program evaluation, ensuring the Help Me Grow program remains effective and responsive to community needs
